Jody D. Green, Sr., son of the late Tom Green and Lucenda Pollard Green, was born March 13, 1962 in Ochlocknee, Georgia.

During the early years of his life, he attended the public schools of Mitchell County.  He later attended Turner Job Corps where he received his GED.

He attended Grace and Mercy Church in Thomasville, Georgia.

Jody loved his family and friends unconditionally and always found the good in everyone.  He was easy going, caring and kind.  He was known for his everlasting wisdom and his faith in God. Over the years, he made lasting friendships and he will be sorely missed.

On Sunday, October 21, 2023, Jody took an Angel hand at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital in Albany, Georgia, and entered into eternal rest.

Jody leaves to cherish his memories a wife, Mary Alice McDaniels-Green; his mother-in-law, Freddie Mae Fields; a father-in-law, James Fields; four children, Jody Green (Desirae), Marcus Green (Anastasia), Tomeka Green (Wayne) and Isiah Green (Romona) of Lawton, Oklahoma; a host of grandchildren, Jody, III, Isiah, Jr., Makayla, Jordyn, Jade, Leroy, Zi'Kierria, Peyton, Jaylen, Serenity, Brayson, Jay'el, Jocelyn, Isreal; brothers and sisters, Wesson Mae, James, Rosa, Quincy (Willie), George, Gene, Retha Mae, Catherine, Elijah (Felicia); brother-in-law, Terry (Lakaietta) McDaniel; sister-in-law, Ethel Green.
