John Ira Jenkins, Jr., son of the late John Jenkins, Sr. and Lori Ann Ross Jenkins, was born July 9, 1939 in Camilla, Georgia.

He confessed CHRIST and joined United Full Gospel Deliverance Church in Pelham, Georgia.

He was united in marriage to the former Ida Mae Burks.

He was employed with GRU City of Gainesville, Florida.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Sharon Jenkins; siblings, Eula Foster, J. C. Foster, Vera Stubbs, Willie Mae Thomas, Willie C. Jenkins, Eva Mae Jenkins, Barbara Ann Jenkins.

He departed this life on Thursday, February 15, 2024, at his residence.

He leaves to cherish his memory, three daughters, Jennifer (Lee) Wallace of Camilla. Georgia, Ida (Mike) Williams of Gainesville, Florida, Nicole (Donald) Chaney of Pelham, Georgia; one son, Kenny (Jacquelyn) Jenkins of Gainesville, Florida; one sister, Lois (Benny) Jackson of Camilla, Georgia; three brothers, L. C. (Gwendolyn) Jenkins of Camilla, Georgia, Anderson (Cheryl) Jenkins of Vienna, Georgia, Eddie (Arilla) Jenkins of Camilla, Georgia; twenty-three grandchildren; several great grandchildren; a best friend, Andrew R. Jackson; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
