Johnnie Louise Walden Johnson was born on November 5, 1942 in Camilla, Georgia to the late Nora Robinson Walden and John Walden.
She attended Rockdale School of Camilla. As a youth, she attended St. Peter A.M.E. Church and Oak Grove A.M.E. Church. In 1997, she accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior and joined Norman Grove Baptist Church. At Norman Grove, she was a member of the Bethel Missionary Association, motherboard, deaconess, and choir.
She was united in marriage in 1997 to James Johnson. They were together for twenty-five years until her health failed and she had to be admitted into a nursing home in July, 2021.
Johnnie was a loving and caring mother who looked well to the ways of her household. As a homemaker, she diligently cared for the needs of her family. She was blessed with not only with children, but stepchildren, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren. The family shared many happy and precious moments together and truly enjoyed the simple pleasures of life.
On Wednesday, November 30, 2022, Johnnie's earthly journey ended when she answered the Master's call to come home.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Patricia Daniels; a grandson, Freddrick Daniels two sisters, Lorene Walden and Betty Ann Walden; two brothers, James Walden and Edward Williams.
Those left to cherish her memories include a loving and devoted husband, James Johnson of Norman Park, Georgia; two daughters, Gloria Jean Daniels, Mary Frances Daniels of Moultrie, Georgia; two sons, Thomas Daniels, Jr. of Miami, Florida, Joseph Daniels of Moultrie, Georgia; a devoted stepdaughter, Jean Johnson (Jeffrey) Lowery of Doerun, Georgia; a stepson, James E. Johnson of Moultrie, Georgia; two sisters, Pearl Williams of Miami, Florida, Addie (James) Finney of Camilla, Georgia; three sisters-in-law, Ester Johnson of Moultrie, Georgia, Betty Colleton of Walterburg, South Carolina, Mary Louise Dallas of New Yrok; eleven grandchildren, Anthony (Catherine) Daniels of Waycross, Georgia, Morris (Tantrell) Daniels of Covington, Georgia, Theresa Daniels of Thomasville, Georgia, WyTesha Daniels, Brittany Keel, Tynorra Parham, Kimberly Keel, Michael Warren of Moultrie, Georgia, Nikki Keel of Albany, Georgia, Jeffrey Lowery, Jr., Jayla Lowery of Doerun, Georgia; twenty-eight great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; special friend, Deacon Wallace and Ozella Bailey of Moultrie, Georgia and their church family; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
