Obituary
He was educated in the Mitchell County School System.
At an early age he joined Bethel Missionary Baptist Church. Later in life, he joined Beulah Missionary Baptist Church where he was a faithful member until his health failed.
John, better known as "Lil John", always had something to say funny and he had a way to captivate the hearts of people he came in contact with.
John was preceded in death by his daughter, Ella Williams Watts.
His precious memories will live forever in the hearts of his children, Johnny Williams (Sherry) of Camilla, Georgia, Samuel Williams of Seattle, Washington, Dora Mae Williams (Terrance) of Camilla, Georgia, Janice Irving (Ureal) and Gary Williams of Jacksonville, Florida; a host of grandchildren; great grandchildren; one son-in-law, Roland Watts of Baconton, Georgia; one sister, Annie Doris Moore of Albany, Georgia; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Don't think of him as gone away
His journey's just begun,
Life holds so many facets
This earth is only one.
Just think of him as resting
From the sorrows and the tears
In a place of warmth and comfort
Where there are no days and years.
Think how he must be wishing
That we could know today
How nothing but sadness
Can really pass away.
And think of him as living
In the hearts of those he touched...
For nothing loved is ever lost
And he was loved so much.
