Obituary

Julie Brown was born in Mitchell County, Georgia on December 5, 1947 to the late Reverend George "Paul" Brown and Henrietta "Katie Dee" Johnson -Brown. She attended Mitchell County Schools formerly known as Camilla Consolidated Schools where she graduated in the year of 1966.

Julie was preceded in death by both of her parents as well as five of her siblings.
She departed this life on Saturday, December 5, 2020, at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital in Albany, Georgia.
She leaves to cherish her memories two sons, Darwin Brown of Riverdale, Georgia, Derek Brown of North Hampton, Massachusetts; one daughter, Nikki Brown of Springfield, Massachusetts; three sisters, Thelma Brown-Riggins of Camilla, Georgia, Onita Brown-Waylon of West Haven, Connecticut, Hazel Brown of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; one brother, Ernest Brown, Sr. of Camilla, Georgia; two grandchildren, Joseph Torres of Springfield, Massachusetts, Cheyenne Brown of Maryland; a host of other loving nieces, nephews, cousins, friends; and devoted classmates of the CCS Class of '66.
Due to the ongoing concerns regarding the COVID-19 pandemic, the family will not observe the normal tradition of a public viewing or graveside service.  A memorial service will be held at a later time.
