Life Story
Karen Elaine Chandler, the daughter of Willie Pearl Chandler and the late Johnny B. Chandler, was born July 22, 1962. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by a brother, Ronald Chandler. She grew up in Baconton and attended the schools in Mitchell County, graduating with the Class of 1980. She attended Darton College in Albany, Georgia.
At an early age, she became a member of St. James Missionary Baptist Church and continued as a member until she crossed over on September 2, 2019 to earn her wings like an Eagle.
Her Lineage
In 1983, God added to her lineage a son, Kevinall G. Wheeler, whom she cherished with all her heart. Kevin added to her three grandkids, KJ, "the sweetest baby in the world," Nicholas, and Kylar, the daughter she always wanted. However, God didn't stop there, he added Justin Youmes to her life in 1999. He is a rising star and she was so proud of him.
Her Friends
During Karen's time on this side of the universe, she encountered and touched many peoples lives. She worked at Keystones as a quality technician. She enjoyed the exact perks and the friends as well.
Her Family
She leaves her family to carry the torch and "keep pressing on to the mark of a higher calling." Those who cherish her memory of legacy, love and inspiration include a loving mother, Willie Pearl Chandler of Baconton, Georgia; two sons, Kevinall G. Wheeler and Justin Youmes of Baconton, Georgia; three grandchildren; three brothers, Alfonzo Quimby of Baconton, Georgia, Johnny Chandler of Atlanta, Georgia and Norris Brown of Baconton, Georgia, two sisters Janice Graham (Vernon) of Apopka, Florida and Cathy Chandler of Baconton, Georgia; two aunts, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who mourn her passing.
