Mrs. Katie Lee Singleton Wynn was born March 20, 1936 to the late Forest Singleton and Rachel Singleton in Mitchell County, Georgia. She departed this life peacefully on Friday morning, December 20, 2019 at the Archbold Memorial Hospital in Thomasville, Georgia.
Mrs. Katie confessed her life to CHRIST at an early age. She was a faithful member of the Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church where she served as an usher.
She attended Rockdale High School.
On May 28, 1955, Mrs. Katie was united in Holy Matrimony to Mr. Leon Wynn who preceded her in death. She was also preceded by two sons, Linward Wynn, Jr, and Ronnie Williams; three brothers, Clarence Spooner, Eugene Spooner, and Willie J. Sponner.
Mrs. Katies leaves to cherish her memories eleven daughters: Barbara (James) Logan of Sumter, South Carolina, Janice Spence, Mollie Wynn, Katie Wynn, Ella D. Williams, Deborah Hopkins, Diane Brinson of Camilla, Georgia, Annie (Charles) Smith of Pelham, Georgia, Sholonda (Chester) Smith of Thomasville, Georgia, Jeanette Williams of Atlanta, Georgia, Ruthie (Charles) Thomas of Newton, Georgia; six sons, Jimmy (Lila) Wynn of Quincy, Florida, Clifford (Exa) Wynn of Albany, Georgia, Freddie (Teresa) Williams, Stephon Williams of Camilla, Georgia, Wayne (Rosalyn) Williams of Pelham, Georgia, Anthony (Alisha) Williams of Thomasville, Georgia; two sisters, Mary Lou Reese of Camilla, Georgia, Eva Lois Harris of Albany, Georgia; three brothers, Henry Spooner of Camilla, Georgia, Henry Parker of Thomasville, Georgia, Charles Spooner of New Jersey; a sister-in-law, Brenda Williams of Camilla, Georgia; a devoted cousin, Velma Marcus of Camilla, Georgia; forty grandchildren; twenty-five great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
