Obituary
Kenneth Lamar Minatee, Sr., was born April 25, 1954 in Camilla, Georgia to Essie Mae Davis Burns and the late Steve Minatee, Sr.
He entered peacefully into rest on Monday, May 11, 2015.
He confessed his faith at an early age and joined Brown Chapel C.M.E. Church.
Kenneth matriculated through the Mitchell County School System, graduating in 1971. In later years, he furthered his education at Albany Technical College in Albany, Georgia.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his mother, Essie Mae Davis Burns; children, Tracey, Kenneth, Jr., Eric, and Timothy, Sr.; brothers, Artie C. Davis, Sr., Greg Scott, Solomon Minatee, Tony White, and Bernard Swan; sisters, Lorene Minatee Cone and Tawanda Hunter; grandchildren, Quatarius, Nicholas, Terrence, Jr., Erica, Akeria, Kenneth, III, Willie Albert, Timothy, Jr., Sha'Erica, De'Erica, Jordyn, and Denton; great grandson, Romeo; two aunts, Pearleva Maxwell and Mary Gladys Toombs.
God saw him getting tired, a cure was not to be.
He wrapped him in his loving arms and whispered 'Come with me.'
He suffered much in silence, his spirit did not bend.
He faced his pain with courage, until the very end.
He tried so hard to stay with us but his fight was not in vain,
God took him to His loving home and freed him from the pain.
