Larenza Bullard

Larenza Bullard, a devoted husband, loving father, grandfather, and respected member of his community, passed away peacefully at his residence on June 4, 2026. Born in Amsterdam, Georgia on March 11, 1952, Larenza grew up in Colquitt, Georgia and later moved to Front Royal, Virginia. Larenza’s life was marked by dedication to family, faith, and hard work.

Larenza grew up working on a farm, instilling in him a strong work ethic that would carry through his many years as a truck driver. He spent the majority of his career behind the wheel, ensuring goods were delivered across great distances with care and professionalism. In addition to his work as a truck driver, he contributed his efforts to a moving and storage company, collaborating closely with his father and brother. Larenza’s commitment to his work and family led him to become a respected figure among those who knew him.

Educated at Lincoln Memorial High School in Front Royal, Virginia, Larenza’s personality shone in every aspect of his life. He was always a well-dressed gentleman, taking pride in his appearance. His love for dancing and fishing provided joy and relaxation, and he was a devoted churchgoer, often attending services virtually when he could not be present in person. These interests reflected his warm and lively spirit.

A cornerstone of Larenza’s life was his beautiful and enduring relationship with his wife, Loretta Bullard. Their bond was notable not only for its length—being together for over two decades and married for twenty-one years—but also for the closeness and mutual devotion they shared. Larenza was persistent in his pursuit of Loretta’s affection, proudly assuring he would care for her always. The couple were known to dress alike, a charming testament to their unity and love. He was also known for baking cakes and barbecuing on the grill.

Larenza is survived by his beloved wife, Loretta Bullard; his children Shaquita (Jason) Campbell, Thorne Hearn, Lavander Hearn, Pannell Hearn, Sarah (Alex) Barthels, Theodore (Lenora) Williams, Jamey Gary, Marie (Stanley) Jones, and Lamar (Charisie) Williams; his brothers James (Valorie) Bullard, Herbert (Lafashia) Jackson, Larry (Kateshia) Daniels, Jeremiah (Whitney) Baker, and Johnnie (Nytasha) Baker; his sisters Earnestine Smith, Jessie L. Smith, Linda (Samuel) Lewis, Rochelle Bullard, and Priscilla Bullard; as well as sister-in-law Pamela Jackson and sister-in-law Annie (Tyrone) Oliver. He was also fortunate to have the love and support of three aunts, Odester Blackmon, Clarece McCloom, Dot Feagen, two uncles, Andrew Williams, IT (Dorothy) Johnson, and goddaughters Cassandra Crimley and Montrease Iglus, special friends and co-workers Marvin Evans, Milton Wright and Charles Smith, sisters-in-law, Dean (Lynn Daryl) Myers, Tammy McConico; brothers-in-law, Scotty McConico, Jimmy McConico; special bond with nephews, David Williams and Arthur Williams; also shared a special bond with niece, Tonya Gantt; and a large extended family including grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, cousins, and many other relatives and friends who held him in high regard.

Larenza's family also remembers with love his late parents, E. B. Bullard and Jessie Mae Jackson. He was predeceased by his brothers, Willie B. Jackson and Eddie Jackson, and his sister, Doretha Cummings.

Through his enduring commitment to family, work, and faith, Larenza Bullard leaves behind a legacy of love, perseverance, and kindness that will be cherished by all who had the privilege to know him. His memory will forever remain in the hearts of those he loved and those who loved him in return.
