Lenwood King, Jr., was born on December 3, 1952 to Minnie Kate King and the late Lenwood King, Sr.

Lenwood attended the Mitchell County School System.

He was employed with Proctor and Gamble for many years and retired in 1985.  After retirement, he found peace in helping others and making them laugh.

Lenwood met and was joined in holy matrimony to the love of his life, Linda Silas.  To this union four children were born.

Preceding him in death include his wife, Linda King; his father, Lenwood King, Sr.; three brothers, Marvin King, Fredrick King, Caesar King; brother-in-law, Ulus Frazier, Sr.; sister-in-law, Paula King.

He departed this life on January 24, 2022.

Lenwood leaves to cherish his memories, a loving mother, Minnie K. King; his children, Lenwood King, III, Veatrice King Hawkins, Tomika King (Chris Jackson), Pamela King; five sisters, Mattie Brown (Vernando), Patricia Davis (Greg), Brenda Frazier, Teresa Simmons (Stan), Allison Whiteside (Dave); three brothers, Harry King (Allene), Gregory King, Michael King; grandchildren, Anthony Gilbert, Antwan Gilbert, Raven Hawkins, Nairobi Mimes (Cody); one great grandchild, DeClan Mines; adopted daughter, Vera Kelly; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
