Lenwood King, Sr., was born October 10, 1929 to the late Charlie and the late Alice King in Newton, Georgia.

At an early age, he confessed his belief in Christ and joined Bethel Missionary Baptist Church.

He was educated in the Mitchell County Public School System.

During his childhood, he played amongst his ten siblings; all who preceded him in death.

He was joined in Holy Matrimony to Minnie Kate Williams of Camilla, Georgia. God blessed this union with twelve children.

He was employed with the SNA Peanut Oil Company in Camilla, Georgia for many years.

He departed this life on November 8, 2020 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital. He was preceded in death by three children: Marvin L. King, Frederick O. King, and Caesar R. King.

He will always live in the minds and memories of his loved ones who cherished him.  He leaves to cherish his memories, a loving wife: Minnie King, Camilla, GA; five daughters: Mattie (Vernando) Brown, Jonesboro, GA, Patricia (Gregory) Davis, Ellenwood, GA, Brenda Frazier, Baconton, GA, Teresa (Obie) Simmons, Stone Mountain, GA, Alison (Dave) Whiteside, Stone Mountain, GA; four sons: Lenwood King, Jr., Camilla, GA, Harry (Allene) King, Albany, GA, Gregory King, Bonaire, GA, Michael King, Atlanta, GA; his grandchildren and  a host of other relatives and friends.
