He was also preceded in death by a grandson, De'Andre Williams, a nephew, Marvin Lumpkin, a brother, Steve Lumpkin and wife, Dollie B. Lumpkin, two sisters-in-law, Ernestine Williams, Lillian Lumpkin, two brothers-in-law, William Clayton and Marvin King.
At an early age he accepted CHRIST. Leroy attended the Mitchell County School System. He was employed with Cagle's for over forty years until his health failed.
Leroy was united in marriage to Betty Jean Clayton in 1970. Their hearts became one. On May 9, 2018, our loved one voice was silenced. There is a vacant place in our hearts that can never be filled.
Leroy leaves to cherish his love, legacy, and memories to his wife of forty-eight years, Betty Jean Lumpkin of Camilla, Georgia; son, Terry Lee (Marie) Lumpkin of Warner Robins, Georgia; daughters, Shelia (Tyrone) Broadwater of Camilla, Georgia, Jackie (Keith Scott) Clayton, Tempie Clayton and special friend, Ernest Walton of Camilla, Georgia; sixteen grandchildren, Tyrone Broadwater, Jr., Janie Broadwater, Cassandra Broadwater of Camilla, Georgia, Tatyana Broadwater, Samantha Broadwater of Valdosta, Georgia, Kenyetta Lumpkin of Camilla, Georgia, Kendra Broadwater of Atlanta, Georgia, Ter'Dricka Lumpkn, Tei'Ara Lumpkin of Warner Robins, Georgia, Jalen Clayton, Courtney Clayton, Te'Andra Clayton, Jordan Clayton, of Camilla, Georgia, Brandon Scott of Moultrie, Georgia, Kathryn Bogan, Angelique Pate of Montezuma, Georgia; great grandchildren, Raheem Williford of Camilla, Georgia, Jeremiah Jones, Jamiyah Jones of Atlanta, Georgia, Qua'Mari Bogan, Harmony Bogan, ZaNiah Bogan of Warner Robins, Georgia; brothers, Joe (Ida) Lumpkin of Largo, Florida, Robert Lumpkin, Henry Lumpkin of Camilla, Georgia; sister, Essie M.
