Lillie Annette Davis Oliver was born on December 20, 1938 in Thomas County, Georgia to the late Felix Davis and Vashti Clayton Davis. Lillie was educated in the Thomas County School System, and attended school at Lincoln Brown High School in Meigs, Georgia She also attended Mitchell County Training School. She also attended Thomas Techical College and earned a certificate for Certified Nursing Assistant. She confessed Christ at an early age, and united with the Summerhill M.B. Church in Pelham. Georgia until her health failed.
"Granny" as she was affectionately called was employed at Goody Manufacturing in Pelham. She was also employed as a CNA for 24 years with Pelham Parkway Nursing Home and retired in 2008.
She was united in Holy Matrimony to the late Willie James Oliver who precedes her in death. She is preceded in death by one brother Rufus Davis and one grandson Jakoby Seneil Church.
She was an avid lover of ole skool music with Johnny Taylor, Gregory Abbott, James Brown being some of her favorite singers.
Lillie transitioned from labor to reward on Monday, February 19, 2024 at 10:42 p.m. at the Archbold Hospital in Thomasville, Ga.
Lillie leaves to cherish her memories, three sons, Ernest (Freda) Davis of Camilla, Georgia, Dwight Williams of Cairo, Georgia, and Therrie (Charlotte) Middlebrooks of Pelham, Georgia; one daughter, Denise Davis of Pelham, Georgia; one sister Dorothy Smith of Tampa, Florida; grandchildren, Shaft (Kanava) Martin, Kenya (Donna) Martin, Yolanda Davis, Xavier Davis, Roderick Middlebrooks, Scarlette Wimberly, Tammie (Phillip) Noble, Dashia Davis, Y'Keyah "Bugg" Davis, Christopher Lovejoy, Dwight (Jasmine) Williams, Gabriel Williams, Laronda Martin, Latessie (Montrell - DJ) Pate, Kaotris (Oscar) Clayton, Walter McIntyre and Pascha (Orenthal) Spence; thirty-eight great-grandchildren; two special great-grandsons, Zay'lyn Davis and A'marium Edwards; two friends of the family, Robert Young and Bertha McDonald.
Devoted friend and neighbor, Annette Ervin of Pelham, Georgia; special friends, Ophelia Lee, Mary Davis, Annie Pearl Arline, Alma Hayward, Bloneva McKinnon, Margaret Johns all of Pelham, Georgia, Etta Trutlin of Thomasville, Georgia. She is also survived by a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
