Lillie T. Rhodes was born February 18, 1936 in Camilla, Georgia, to the late Willie James and Willie Mae Threatts. She was a faithful member of the St. James Missionary Baptist Church in Baconton, Georgia for many years.
She was joined in Holy Matrimony to the late George Hubert Rhodes, Sr.
Lillie was employed by Palmyra Park Hospital for thirteen years. She also was employed by Phillip and the late Connie Greene.
On Wednesday morning, December 4, 2019, Lillie T.'s earthly journey came to an end and she transitioned to her Heavenly home.
In Lillie T.'s departure, she leaves to cherish in precious memories four children, Verna (James) Morman of Baconton, Georgia, George Hubert (Lavern) Rhodes, Jr. of Albany, Georgia, Willie Mae (Larry) Johnson, Kalisha (Clinton) Bell both of Forsyth, Georgia; ten grandchildren, Wyatta (Xavier) Ferguson, Cullena (Roney) Mays, Andrew (Tamika) Ross, Anthony Ross, Shannon (Michelle) McElroy, James (Kisa) Morman, Jr., Erica (Rico) Johnson, Lakeisha (Broderick) Calloway, Larry (Deira) Johnson, Jr., Cedric Johnson, Malaiah and Jordan Bell; twenty-six great grandchildren including Ja'Borian Morman which she raised as her own; six great-great grandchildren.
Siblings: Gilberteen Williams, Annie White, Gloria Bryant, Robert (Lillie) Threatts, all of Camilla, Georgia, Rosa Mary (Emanuel) Drakes of Pelham, Georgia, Essie (Robert Lee) Cooper of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, Claretha (Robert) Anderson of Buffalo, New York, Albert (Martha) Williams, Jr., Lena (Willie) Jones of Quincy, Florida, Willie Renee (Jessie) Lee, Johnnie W. (Esther) Threatts both of Midway, Florida, Willie Charles (Patricia) Threatts of Jacksonville, Florida; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Lillie was preceded in death by her sister, Mattie C. Williams Spence; six brothers, Johnnie Threatts, L. G. Williams, Robert Williams, Benny Threatts, Henry Threatts, and Jessie Threatts.
Special friends: Virginia, Bertha, Ruby, Lavern, Olivia, and Annette.
