Mrs. Lorene C. Moore, 96, went to her heavenly home on November 26, 2020, at the residence of her daughter in Camilla, Georgia.

She was born October 27, 1924 in Tallahassee, Florida to Cardwell Crawford and Anna Swain Crawford.  Mrs. Moore never knew her mother as she passed the same day she was born.  Her grandmother, Narcissie Washington, brought her to Camilla, Georgia, and raised her along with another grandmother, Mary Crawford.

She was united in marriage to James Bob Moore, Sr. on March 18, 1939.  They had three children.  One son, James Bob Moore, preceded them in death.

At an early age, she joined Hall Missionary Baptist Church.  The church also had a school which she attended.

Ms. Lorene worked as a maid for forty years or more.  She also worked at Azalea Motor Court and the Camilla Inn.

Those left to cherish her memories are two children, Sarah Burns and Johnny (Cynthia) Moore of Camilla, Georgia; a daughter-in-law, Frances Moore of Camilla, Georgia; grandchildren, Tony (Deborah) McKinney, Ella V. Williams, Travis McKinney, Malcolm (Selena) McClinton, Valarie Styles, Hope Moore, Bridgette Moore, Brittany Moore, Courtney Moore, Emily Moore; twenty-three great grandchildren; eleven great-great grandchildren.

A bonus family that she loved and raised, May Wingate, Kay Hilliard, Ashley Nelson.
