Lucile Alexander, daughter of the late Bertha Alexander and Theodore Jones, was born September 8, 1939.
She confessed Christ and at an early age and united with the Beulah Missionary Baptist Church. She was a member of the class of 1957 of Camilla Consolidated High School. She was employed with Foodlane Supermarket for fifteen years; Goodys for twelve years. She was also employed with Bar-B-Que House, Hardee's, Popeyes, until her health failed. She was a member of the American Legion Post 518 for thirty-eight years.
She was preceded in death by six brothers.
She departed this life on Thursday, August 12, 2010, at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital in Albany, Georgia.
She leaves to cherish her memories five children, Harriette (Harry) Williams of Camilla, Georgia, Larry (Darlene) Alexander of Steubenville, Ohio, Krista (Derrick) Jackson of Pelham, Georgia, Kerry Alexander of Camilla, Georgia, Bonita Davis of Atlanta, Georgia; five sisters, Vanessa Parker of Gainvesville, Florida, China Drakes, Mary Jones of Camilla, Georgia, Carolyn Brantley, Annie Doris (Robert) Mack of Albany, Georgia; five brothers, Perry Jones of Camilla, Georgia, Jimmy Jones, Lorenzo (Jeanette) Jones of Albany, Georgia, Theodore (Doretha) Jones of Gainesville, Florida, Charlie Jones of Gainesville, Florida; fourteen grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; a host of much loved nieces and nephews, and many, many friends.
