Lucious took great pride in his career, demonstrating an extraordinarily strong work ethic that defined his more than 30 years of service with the Miami Dade County public school system. He made a significant impact as the Manager III Coordinator in the Department of Plant Operations, exemplifying dedication and commitment in his role. In addition to his time in the school system, Lucious worked various jobs, including positions with The Maintenance King of Kendall, Miami Bait and Tackle, Miami International Airport Blue Sky Shuttle, and the Albany Housing Authority in Albany, Georgia. An alumnus of the Miami Dade school system, Lucious furthered his education by attending truck driving school and enrolling in vocational courses, which included studies in management and the proper handling of industrial chemicals. This passion for learning echoed throughout his life and professional endeavors.

He had a creative side, indulging in numerous hobbies and interests, including artistry, carpentry, designing, and fishing, which allowed him to express his talents and connect with nature.
