Obituary

Lula Mae Knight was the epitome of what a mother, daughter, sister, aunt, niece, cousin, good friend, and Christian should be.  Born January 17, 1950 in Camilla, Georgia, Lula was the daughter of Elena Williams and the late Frank Davis, Sr.

At an early age she confessed CHRIST and united with Friendship Missionary Baptist Church where she was a member of the Usher Board.

Affectionately known as "Black" to many, Lula was the third oldest of thirteen siblings.  She had a vivacious spirit that many would admire and love.  She was caring and loving in every way possible.  There was never any lack.  She provided in every way.  Family was always important to Lula in every way.  Lula was outgoing and her outspoken personality made us love her in a way that was respected and special.  She kept everyone together reminding us of just how big her heart was.  Lula was a great cook.  Everyone loved going to Lula's house for a home cooked meal.

The fun, the laughter, and her willingness to always make it happen will forever be cherished in our hearts.  Lula had a special love for each person in her life.  That vibrant smile, the tender way she took care of her grandchildren, will never be forgotten.

Lula departed this earthly life as we knew her at Archbold Memorial Hospital in Thomasville, Georgia.

Lula was preceded in death by her father, Frank Davis, Sr.; brothers, Frank Davis, Jr., Robert Williams, Ronnie Williams; sister, Pearl Sessions; children, Steven Knight, Timothy Knight, Roger Hodge, Lataurus Swan.
