Mrs. Martha Cadenhead was born July 15, 1937 in Camilla, Georgia to the late John L. King and Johnnie Mae Everett King.
At a very early age she joined Brown Chapel CME Church, and later studied with the Jehovah Witness. She attended Old Rockdale High School and worked for the Pea Nut Mill in Camilla, Georgia. Martha (Mass) was the most honest and truthful person you could ever meet.
Preceding her in death was one brother, Wilbert C. Roberts. She departed this life on Sunday, May 9, 2010, at Pelham Parkway Nursing Home.
She leaves to cherish her memories, two sons, Howard Cadenhead, Jr, of Camilla, Georgia, Willie C. Cadenhead (Janice) of Miami Florida; six grandchildren, Calvin, Keisha, Jermaine, Melissa, Rose and Howard Cadenhead, II and five great grandchildren. One sister, Marthine Roberts Cummings, Rensselaer, New York; two brothers, John L. "Bruce" (Geraldine) King, Silver Spring, Maryland and Moses (Merielle) Price, West Hartford, Connecticut; one aunt, Mary Everett of Fort Pierce, Florida; one special cousin, Arthur James (Gladys) Bell of Lakeland, Florida; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Mass also had a dear and special friend (like a daughter), Betty Carol Brown.
