Obituary

Mary Virginia Alexander, daughter of the late Annie Pearl McGee and Milton McGee, Sr., born January 17, 1945.  Later in life, she confessed CHRIST as her personal SAVIOR and became a member of Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church.

Mary was united in marriage to Harry Alexander on November 2, 1964.

Mary departed her precious life on Tuesday, May 14, 2013, at her residence in Pelham, Georgia.

She was preceded in death by a son, Calvin Alexander; a brother, Milton McGee, Jr.; and a sister, Jessie Pearl Brown.

She leaves to cherish her memories her loving children, Shirlette McGee, Rungie Alexander, Candie Alexander, Mary D. (Eric) Clayton, Reginald (Dana) Alexander, Steven (Notasha) Alexander; her siblings, Solar McGee and Juan (Jackie) McGee, Annie Pearl Tucker, Barbara Lammons; special friends, Mary Ann Roach and Lane Church; seventeen grandchildren; several great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

FUNERAL CELEBRATION

The funeral service of Mary Virginia Alexander will be conducted Saturday, May 18, 2013, at 3:00 p.m., at Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church, 418 Love Street, SW, Pelham.  Reverend Elvin Mallory, pastor; Words of comfort will be by Reverend Charles Dorsey.  Interment will follow in Pelham Cemetery.

Flower attendants and pallbearers will be friends of the family.

Visitation will be on Friday, May 17, 2013, from 6:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m., at Robert Jester Mortuary.

Continue my heritage, I'm counting on you
Keep smiling and surely the sun will shine through

I miss you all dearly, so keep up your chin
Until the day come's we're together again.
