Mrs. Mary Betty Graham was born on April 16, 1929 to the late Mr. Gordon and Mrs. Ruby Lee Hodges. On March 31, 2010, the angels came for her at Jackson North. Her husband of over fifty years, Tobie Graham, preceded her in death. She grew up in Camilla and attended the school system of Mitchell County. She confessed her belief in Christ and joined the Bethel Missionary Baptist Church, Camilla, Georgia at an early age.
Her and her family moved to Miami, Florida in 1955 where she was a teacher's assistant at Saint John Day Care and worked at the Equal Opportunity office until her retirement.
She became a member of the Jordan Grove Missionary Baptist Church in 1958 under the leadership of the late Reverend C.H. Smith and was a member of the Usher Board. She continued working under the leadership of Reverend Douglas Cook, Sr. until her health failed.
She leaves to cherish her memories, three sons, Gregory (Margaret) Graham, Fort Lauderdale, Florida, Andrew Graham, Carl Graham, Miami, Florida; a daughter, Janice (Elonzo) Townsend, Miami, Florida; two brothers, Bartow Williams, Camilla, Georgia, Gordon (Maude) Hodges, Camilla, Georgia; one sister, Natha Drake, Kennesaw, Georgia; three sisters-in-law, Dorothy McFarland, Detroit, Michigan, Mary Leon, Brooklyn, New York, Verdie Graham; three brothers-in-law, Melvin (Willo) Graham, Detroit, Michigan; Loren (Phyllis) Graham, Camilla, Georgia, Eddie (Brenda) Graham; seven grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; uncles; aunts; nephews; nieces; a host of relatives, and friends.
