Mary Alice Peoples was born to the parents of the late Ida Grissom and Glen Grissom in Camilla, Georgia on January 18, 1955. She departed this life on Thursday, March 26, 2020.
She attended Zion Grove Missionary Baptist Church in her younger years.
Mary Alice was a graduate of Mitchell County High School class of 1972. After completing high school, she began working at local manufacturing companies, certified nursing assistant, and later at Mitchell-Baker Service Center.
Mary Alice was a strong, loving, hard working woman. She truly loved her family.
She was united in Holy Matrimony to Kirk Terrance Peoples in 1997, who preceded her in death on March 26, 2010.
Left to treasure her memories are her loving children, Roney Mays (Cullena) of Jacksonville, Florida, Shalanda Quimbley (Stevie) of Albany, Georgia, Shay White of Camilla, Georgia, and Erica Young (Derrick) of Camilla, Georgia; siblings, Harry Grissom, Randy Grissom, Jimmy Grissom all of Camilla, Georgia, Rudolph Grissom of Jacksonville, Florida, the late Glen Grissom Jr.; grandchildren, De'Arrius White, Monterrian Bishop, Karissma Mays, Landen Quimbley, Kayson King, Stevie Quimbley II, Bella Young; great grandchildren, Kaylie Williams, Christian Bishop, the late Halo Bishop; a brother-in-law, Samuel McMillan Peoples (Marie) of Camilla, Georgia; two sisters-in-law, Gail P. Franklin and Erma A. Jackson of Camilla, Georgia; a special relative, Lyndanette Bell; her favorite doctor, Dr. Daryl Crenshaw; and a host of other relatives and friends.
