Obituary
The funeral service of Mary Mobley Sims will be conducted Saturday, March 8, 2014, at 11:00 a.m., at Bethel Missionary Baptist Church, 8825 River Road, Camilla. Reverend Jermaine King is the pastor. Reverend James Bradshaw will officiate. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
Flower bearers will be friends of the family. Antonio Mobley, Herman Pittman, Carlo Bowens, Marlo Bowens, Tony White, Jonathan Mobley will serve as pallbearers.
Mrs. Mary Mobley Sims was born June 7, 1928 to the late Mattie Lee Mobley and Dave Mobley.
She confessed CHRIST at an early age and joined Antioch Missionary Baptist Church in Mitchell County.
She was united in marriage to Otis Sims. He preceded her in death.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Georgia Ann Sims; two brothers, Jody Mobley and Dave Mobley, Jr.; and a sister, Rosa Mae Robinson.
She departed this life on Saturday, March 1, 2014 at her residence.
She leaves to cherish her memories her children, Mary Alice Wimberly (Willie Dee); Ben Bowens, Arlethia Mobley, Joyce White, Rose Smith, Carol Ann Mobley, Sammie Bullard (Emma) of Camilla, Georgia, Gwenette King of Memphis, Tennessee; a special niece, Mattie Phillips; twenty grandchildren; a host of great grandchildren; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.
A limb has fallen from the family tree
A voice is heard that says, "Grieve not for me"
Remember the best times, the laughter, the song
The good life I lived while I was strong.
Continue my heritage, I'm counting on you
Keep smiling and surely the sun will shine through
My mind is at ease, my soul is at rest
Remembering all, how I truly was blessed.
Continue traditions, no matter how small
Go on with your life, don't worry about falls
I miss you all dearly, so keep up your chin
Until the day come's we're together again.
