Mattie attended the Mitchell County Training School.

Mattie confessed to CHRIST at an early age and joined Summerhill Missionary Baptist Church and sang with the adult choir.

A Time To Leave:

On Sunday, June 11, 2023, Mattie departed this life at her residence.

One son, Tony Parker; one daughter, Latoya Latrice Parker; one brother, Jimmy Parker; one sister, Juanita Parker Young; grandparents, Lention (Mattie) Lammons; aunts, Orplee Lammons Reed, Eula B. Lammons Singleton; uncles, Willie Lammons, R. C. Lammons, Rufus Lammons, Lester Lammons.

Mattie leaves a legacy of love to be cherished by her devoted daughter, Franyetta Parker (Dexter Bryant) of Pelham, Georgia; one brother, Jerome Parker of Pelham, Georgia; a special granddaughter, Jasmine (Henry) Crimley of Camilla, Georgia; grandchildren, Desmond (ShaMiah) Parker of Thomasville, Georgia, Tony Parker, Nathaniel Walker, III of Pelham, Georgia, Aniya (Damian) Williams of Valdosta, Georgia; great grandchild, Ashton Walker of Valdosta, Georgia; great grandchildren, Ke'Miyah Morgan, A'layla Morgan, Demariun Morgan, Jr., Kaleb Crimley, Kiyon Crimley, Taniyah Parker, Tony Parker, Jr., Tanaiji Parker; aunts, Deloris Lammons Jackson of Miami, Florida;  godchildren, Sheneika Hall and Kimberly Riddle; special friends, Gloria Jean Wheeler and Johnnie Mae Edwards; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
