Nelson James Thompson was born on January 5, 1959, in Camilla, GA to Ozie B. Thompson and the late Charles Thompson. He is predeceased by a sister, Cassandra Worthy, and brother, Danny Thompson, and daughter-in-law, Daisy West.
His mother is Ozie B. Thompson and his living siblings are: Larry (Marion) Thompson, Kelvin (Rena) Thompson, Stephanie Thompson, Calvin Thompson, Markus Thompson, Kenyatta Thompson, Mary Ann Brown, Ruthie Mae Jones (Joe Louis), Mary Dean (Michael) Williams, Abraham (Josephine) Robinson, Willie C. Robinson, Connie (Gloria) Robinson, Stacy Golden. Aunts: Willie Beatrice Dukes, Lestine Brown and Ernestine Ivy; Father and Mother-in-law, Hosea and Elizabeth Brinson, Brothers-in-law: Dennis Worthy, Eldred (Cynthia) Brinson and Tavis (Amanda) Brinson, Sister-in-law, Shumonica (Andrew) Coe.
He retired as Sergeant First Class (SFC) from United States Army. While serving in the United States Army he had various occupations: License Practical Nurse, Medical Specialist and Hawk Missile Crewman. He was also employed and retired as a Letter Carrier from the United States Postal Service.
"Ice-T" or "Boo-Boo" as he was known by family and friends, leaves to cherish his memory, his lovely wife, Tahisha P. Thompson, his children: Jada Thompson, Jami'yah Thompson, Derrick West, Maria Pistis (Savino), Maurice Mullins, Tiffany Thompson, Nelson Thompson, Jr., Nicholas Thompson (Mia), Ida-Marie Thompson and Margo Thompson. He also leaves behind 15 grandchildren, and 3 Godchildren: Cheron Norvell, Tranika Starks, Sebastian Lassiter, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and The Mount nation.
