The funeral service of Odessa Marcus will be conducted Saturday, November 1, 2008, at 1:00 p.m., at the Friendship Missionary Baptist Church, 4585 Highway 37, Camilla, Georgia. Reverend Curnell Henry will officiate. Interment will follow in the Oakview Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Earnest Marcus, Jr., Kareem Ross, Sr., Derrick Silas, Desmond Silas, Robert Williams, Jr., Willie George Williams.

Mrs. Marcus, daughter of the late Archie Moore and Estelle Moore, was born February 7, 1943 in Mitchell County, Georgia.

At an early age, she confessed Christ and joined the Beulah Missionary Baptist Church. She later united with the Friendship Missionary Baptist Church.

On January 21, 1961, she was united in marriage to Bobby Glenn Marcus, Sr., who preceded her in death. To this union four children were born.

She departed this life on Friday, October 24, 2008 at her residence.

She leaves to cherish her memories four children, Jennifer M. Morman, Estelle Corliss Theresa Marcus, Bobby Glenn Marcus, Jr., Temond Mondell Marcus, Sr., of Camilla, Georgia; a grandson she reared, Arterrius Mandrell Marcus of Camilla, Georgia; three adorable grandchildren, Nakesha Smith, Erica Stewart, Temond Mondrell Marcus, Jr. of Camilla, Georgia; two great grandchildren, Lotorianna Norea' Stewart King, Marqulin Stewart of Camilla, Georgia; five sisters-in-law, Lucille Williams of Dawson, Georgia, Ethel Lee Hodges of Albany, Georgia, Ida Marcus of Camilla, Georgia, Gladys Marcus of Baconton, Georgia, Rosa Lee Marcus of Baconton, Georgia; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
