The funeral service of Ola Lee Jones will be conducted Saturday, November 15, 2008, at 12:00 noon, at the Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church, 7141 Pipeline Road, Camilla, Georgia. Reverend Leroy Thompson, Jr., will officiate. Interment will follow in the Oakview Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be David Bell, Timothy Clayton, Henry Isom, Leonard Jones, III, Corey Riggins, Willie Riggins, Jr.
Ola Lee Jones was born December 19, 1927 in Camilla, Georgia. She was the daughter of the late Inez Wilson and James Gibson.
She was united in holy matrimony to Leonard Jones, Sr., who preceded her in death.
She accepted Christ at an early age and joined the St. John Missionary Baptist Church. After relocating to Florida, she joined Zion Orthodox Primitive Baptist Church, where she was a faithful member until her health failed.
On Saturday, November 8, 2008, she departed this life at the home of her devoted daughter/caregiver, Willie Mae Elliott.
She leaves to cherish her memories, eleven children; four sons, Johnny Clayton and Leonard Jones, Jr. of Cocoa, Florida, Willie (Juanita) Clayton of Camilla, Georgia, Henry (Brenda) Jones of Daytona Beach, Florida; seven daughters, Elizabeth (Willie) Riggins, Rebecca Clayton of Camilla, Georgia, Willie Mae (Artis) Elliott of Rockledge, Florida, Dorothy Jones, Mary Jones, Martha Jones of Cocoa, Florida, Annie (Orlando) Jackson of Merritt Island, Florida.
Preceding her in death included a daughter, Gloria Jean Jones; a brother, Henry Lee Fountain; two sisters, Nora Lee Bell and Annie Lee Freeman; a great grandchild, Quantavia (TT) Jones.
She is also survived by forty grandchildren; fifty-six great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends at the home of her daughter, Rebecca Clayton at 4860 Georgia Highway 97, Camilla.
Visitation will be on Friday, November 14, 2008, at 6:00 p.m., at the Robert Jester Mortuary.
