Obituary

Otto Robinson, son of the late Maria Hawkins and the late J. D. (Amie Lee) Robinson, was born June 4, 1942 in Baker County, Georgia.  He departed this life on Friday, May 23, 2014, at Pelham Parkway Nursing Home.


Otto, as he was affectionately called, enjoyed life growing up.  In his mid years, his joy centered around maintaining beautiful yards, telling jokes, and meeting new faces as he took his daily walks.  In his elderly years, he enjoyed drinking coffee throughout the day, talking, sharing, and helping enlighten other's hearts and feelings through his stories and word choices.

He attended the public schools of Dougherty County, Georgia.

He was preceded in death by four sisters, Annie Mae Sharp, Margaret Robinson-Williams, Julia Mae Robinson-Pollard, Carsandra Thompson-Worthy; one brother, William Brown; and a special aunt and uncle, John D. (Lena Mae) Robinson.

He leaves to cherish his fun, upbeat, and entertaining memories, four loving and beautiful sisters, Mary Ann Brown, Ethel Mae Robinson, Ruthie Mae (Joe Lewis) Jones of Camilla, Georgia, Mary Dean (Willie Mack) Williams of Albany, Georgia; five brothers, Konnie (Gloria) Robinson of Pelham, Georgia, Abraham (Josephine) Robinson, Stacey Golden, of Camilla, Georgia, Willie C. (Mary) Robinson of Baconton, Georgia, Nelson (Tahisha) Thompson of Chesapeake, Virginia; three brothers-in-law, Willie Lee Pollard, Sr., Dennis Worthy, C. T. Williams of Camilla, Georgia; two special nieces, Sabrina L. (Curles) Williams, Angel A. (Len) Williams; four very special nephews, Derrick D. Williams, Willie L. (Pamela) Pollard, Jr., Venterra M. Pollard, Traymond T. Pollard; two close and special friends he gave to enjoy and be around, Jimmy Brown and George West of Camilla, Georgia; and a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Funeral Service

The funeral service will be conducted Saturday, May 31, at 2:00 p.m., at Union Missionary Baptist Church, 70 Thompson Street, Camilla.  Reverend James Turner will officiate.  Interment will follow in Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery.

Flower Bearers will be nieces.

Pallbearers will be Jeremy Jones, Venterra Pollard, Willie Pollard, Vesco Robinson, C. T. Williams, Derrick Williams.
