Mrs. Phenia "Pat" Stafford, 56, of Valdosta, Georgia passed away on April 20, 2018 surrounded by loving family. Pat as she was affectionately known was born in Valdosta, Georgia on October 23, 1961. She graduated from Valdosta High School and continued on to Georgia Baptist College where she received her Degree as a Registered Nurse.
Pat worked at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Tampa, Florida for fifteen years until becoming ill and unable to continue. She enjoyed people and was truly a people person. She was musically inclined and played the piano. She was called upon by several Valdosta area churches to render the music for their worship service. Prior to moving back to Valdosta, she was a very active member of St. Paul AME Church in Tampa, Florida until the church closed when she then joined Trinity CME Church in Tampa.
Pat is survived by a devoted grandmother Mrs. Phenia Sheffeld of Valdosta, Georgia; two children, Michael Sheffield of Tampa, Florida and Heidi Sheffield of Atlanta, Georgia; Mother Nell Little of Camilla, Georgia; two brothers, David Mabry III, (Rebecca) of Black River, NY, Kareem Mabry of Valdosta, Georgia; one sister, Stacey Sheffield of Woodbridge, Virginia; one uncle Henry Mabry (Katie) of Valdosta, Georgia; one aunt, Brenda Bivins, (AD) of Palataka, Florida; three great aunts, Vera Jackson of Miami, Florida, Mary Alexander of Tampa, Florida, and Dorothy Warren of Atlanta, Georgia; a favorite niece, D'arcy Jackson (Michael) of Valdosta, Georgia; Pat was blessed to have had a wonderful God Sister in Stephanie Corbett and nephew Carlos Corbett; and a host of other family members including her many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
