Obituary
He confessed his faith at an early age and jointed St. Peter African Methodist Episcopal Church.
Richard received his primary education in the Mitchell County School System. He was employed at Mitchell County Hospital for forty years.
Preceding him in death was a daughter Bertha Williams.
Richard went peacefully into rest on Wednesday, July 6, 2016.
He leaves to cherish his memory a loving wife, Iola Brown Dewberry of Camilla, Georgia; a son, Lynwood (Antoinette) Dewberry of Camilla, Georgia; a nephew that he reared, Curtis (Minnie) Toombs of Camilla, Georgia; two stepsons, Lenward Smith, III of Savannah, Georgia and Kevin Brown of Tifton, Georgia; nine grandchildren, Jaamal (Lisa) Dewberry, Roderick Brooks, Courtney Williams, Antonio Reginald Williams, Jr., Corey Williams, Kenisha Williams, Brandon Dewberry, Shania Dewberry of Camilla, Georgia, Mariah Dewberry of Jonesboro, Georgia; eleven great grandchildren; one sister, Irene (Earnest) Fluellen of Camilla, Georgia; two brothers-in-law, Hollis Toombs of Camilla, Georgia, John Lee Ethridge of Jacksonville, Florida; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
