Obituary

Robert Lee Johnson was born in Camilla, Georgia, on July 29, 1951 to the late Henry Johnson and Katie Mae Johnson.

He was well known to all as "Booda Sooda", the Master Electrician.  If he didn't do repair work at your house, he certainly did repair work at your sister, brother, mother, or cousin.  He was known as the Camilla, Georgia, "to go to" electrician.  He would complete calls any time or day or night.  It didn't matter to Booda Sooda if the time was 2:00 p.m. or 2:00 a.m.  If anyone would call him needing repair work, he would make himself available.

He received his education at Albany Technical College and started his career as an electrician with Proctor and Gamble Company of Albany.  He continued employment with Mitchell County Board of Education and also Robert Brown Construction Company.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by six brothers, Charles, Josephus, Leroy, John, Nathaniel, and Horace.  He was also preceded in death by two sister, Bertha Reddick and Lillie Hayward.

He leaves to cherish his memories one loving daughter, Kimmie Johnson of Leesburg, Georgia; three grandchildren, Alexis Williams, Calvin Williams and Kuron Imani Johnson-Ahiable of Leesburg, Georgia; two sisters, Elma Williams and Rose Lyons of Camilla, Georgia; one brother, James W. (Juanita) Johnson of Cincinnati, Ohio; two sisters-in-law, Carlee Reddick, Rebecca Reddick of Camilla, Georgia; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
