Obituary

Robert Cecil Stuckey, Jr. (better known as Buddyboy), was born on October 13, 1949, in Dansville, Georgia, Wilkinson County, to the late Robert Sherman Stuckey and Corene Smith Gervin.

Robert was called home to be with the Master on Thursday, November 28, 2024.  He answered fervently and said farewell to this world.

Before moving to Miami, Florida, Robert attended Mt. Tilla Baptist Church in Irwinton, Georgia.  He was educated at Mary Fleming High School in Laurens County, Dublin, Georgia. Robert worked several jobs before he started working at East Coast Metals. His career ended when he was wounded after someone robbed and shot him.   After his injuries, his doctors vowed that he would never be able to walk again. Robert persevered and God blessed him to walk again, and he continued to be a blessing to his friends and family.

Robert met his wife, Paulette Johnson, on June 26, 2004, and they were united in Holy Matrimony on July 09, 2009, in Miami, Florida.

Robert was the second oldest of four (4) siblings, the only boy.  He had two (2) sisters who preceded him in death (Gladys L. Graham and Linda Stuckey-Whitfield).

He leaves behind to mourn, his wife, Paulette Stuckey, and his baby sister, Betty Stuckey Watson, of Miami, Florida.  His five children: Arlisa Whipple, Dublin, Georgia, Marcy Stuckey (Tamika, Dublin, Georgia, Keith Stuckey, Dublin,  Georgia, Jeffery Stuckey, Dublin, Georgia, and Edwin Stuckey, Miami, Florida, Robert Permenter, Clarence Permenter, and Patrick Permenter, all from Fort Valley, Georgia.    He also has a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.
