Roberta Knight was born July 14, 1956 to Rosa Knight and the late John Childs.

At an early age, she confessed CHRIST and united with the Beulah Missionary Baptist Church where she was an usher.  Roberta was a loving person and got along with everyone.

She attended Mitchell County High School.

She was employed with the Mitchell County School System for several years.  After moving to Atlanta, she became employed with Georgia State University as a custodian.  After relocating back to Camilla, she provided service in home health care.

In addition to her father, she was also preceded in death by two brothers, Melvin Knight, Lonnie Holmes; one sister, Marjorie Childs; grandfather, Eddie Lee Spence; grandmother, Rena Spence.

Roberta leaves to cherish her memories a loving mother, Rosa Knight of Camilla, Georgia; one devoted daughter, Sharee Knight McDaniel of Atlanta, Georgia; three loving granddaughters, Jaquanta Dawan Fails, Isihana Sharee McDaniel, Q'Tavia Darlene McDaniel of Atlanta, Georgia; one great granddaughter, Jariyah Mallory of Atlanta, Georgia; a nephew, PFC Mott Tarius of Afghanistan; three sisters, Beverly (Raymond) Pace) of Atlanta, Georgia, Janice Knight, Kathy Childs, Sabrina (Calvin) Stone of Camilla, Georgia; sister-in-law, Frince Holmes of Pelham, Georgia; brothers, Dexter (Jocklyn) Holmes of Miami, Florida; Timothy Childs; Lashawn (Carla) Moore of Detroit, Michigan; aunts, Mary Robinson, Johnnie Childs of Camilla, Georgia; uncle, James Childs of Camilla, Georgia; a host of nieces, nephews, play daughters and sons; her loving pet, Socks; good friends, William Matthews (Bubba) Williams, Mary Jo Banks of Camilla, Georgia, Shirley Jones, Seryl Shealey of Atlanta, Georgia, Robin Earls of California.
