IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Rosemary Byrd
Davis
July 10, 1946 – April 17, 2011
Mary Davis transitioned to her eternal home on Sunday morning April 17, 2011.
Mary was born July 10, 1946 to the late Gladys Morman and Calvin Byrd in Mitchell County, Georgia.
Mary joined the Saint James Body under the pastorate of the late Reverend H. C. Anthony. She loved this "Body of Christ" deeply and supported its mission to the fullest. She served unselfishly in many ways. Most dedication was shown in her role as a "door keeper in the house of the Lord." She delighted herself as a member of the culinary and pastor's aide ministry. Mary was a proud 1964 graduate of Camilla Consolidated High School.
During the "world of work" in the pecan and poultry industry, Mary met and made many friends.
Preceding her in death include a grandchild, Atiya Rashonice Little; two nephews, Mack Williams, III and Jeffery Brown.
She leaves to cherish her memories: three loving daughters, Joynetta Rena Davis, Patrice Archelle Dawson and Shonda Denise Davis; five caring grandchildren, Renard, Jacquarian, Kiera, Gregory and Raven; three sisters, Betty (Mack) Williams, Joanne Williams (Kevin), Carolyun (Amos) Byrd Lawrence; one brother, Calvin Byrd; a special and devoted aunt, Vernice Williams; two goddaughters, Shambray Johynson and NaCourtney Davis; a special god-sister, Deloris Daniels; a caring friend, Loretta Joyce; one brother-in-law, Willie Frank Davis; one sister-in-law, Sarah Davis Blackshear.
The funeral service of Rosemary Byrd Davis, will be conducted Saturday, April 23, 2011, at 11:00 a.m., at Saint James Missionary Baptist Church, 144 Martin Luther King, Jr. Drive, Baconton, Georgia. Reverend Lawrence Knighton will officiate.
Honorary Pallbearers will be deacons of Saint James Missionary Baptist Church.
Active Pallbearers will be Roderick Marcus, Anthony Morman, Charles Morman, Jr., Dexter Morman, John Morman, John Williams.
When other friends forsake you,
To mother you will return,
For all her loving kindness,
She asks nothing in return.
As we look upon her picture,
Sweet memories we recall,
Of a face so full of sunshine,
And a smile for one and all.
