Mother Ruby Lee Edmonds was born on January 3, 1928 to the late Andrew Smith and Sylvia Williams in Mitchell County, Georgia.

At an early age, she joined Habakkuk Missionary Baptist Church where she served faithfully as Mother of the church until her health failed. She was a graduate of Rockdale High School in Camilla, Georgia.

Ruby was united in marriage to Willie Albert Edmonds, Sr. on October 5, 1946. To this union eight children were born.  Mr. Edmonds preceded her in death on September 26, 2018.

In addition to her parents and her husband, Mother Edmonds was also preceded in death by one son, Willie Albert Edmonds, Jr.

Mother Edmonds departed this life on Sunday, October 21, 2018, at Willson's Hospice House in Albany, Georgia.

She leaves to cherish her memories, seven children, Jesse C. Edmonds (Cassandra), William B. Edmonds (Patricia), Andrew Edmonds (Connie), Geraldine Edmonds Holt, Eva Edmonds Nelson, Lyndon Edmonds, Mavis Y. Edmonds Jenkins (Gary); a nephew, Kenny Williams (Harriett); a long legacy of grandchildren, great grandchildren; a host of other love one to continue with her memories.
