Rutha "Skeet" Williford was born on January 27, 1951, to the late Cleveland Williford and Ruthie Mae Williford in Branchville, Georgia.  Skeet confessed CHRIST as her personal Lord and Savior at a very early age.  She joined Saint Luke Missionary Baptist Church of Branchville, Georgia, where she remained a member until her earthly transition.  She also regularly attended Greater Union Missionary Baptist Church, as it was near her home.

Skeet attended Oak Grove Elementary School and later graduated from Camilla Consolidated High School.

She departed this life on Saturday, June 29, 2024, at her home.

She was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Gloria Jean Williford, and brothers, Carl Williford and Joe Williford.

Skeet leaves to cherish her memories a devoted son, David Wimberly of Camilla, Georgia, a granddaughter, Zoey Wimberly of Camilla, Georgia.  She also leaves behind her surrogate son, Frederick Brown (Mynul) of Camilla, Georgia; three sisters, Margaret Miller of Mitchellville, Maryland, Dearsie Carroll (Edward) of Fredericksburg, Virginia and Eloise Newnan of Waldorf, Maryland; two brothers, Roy Williford (Runette) of Camilla, Georgia, and Curtis Williford (Pamela) of Woodstock, Georgia; a special niece, Dearsie Holton (Daniel) of Navarre, Florida.  Skeet served as a surrogate grandmother to Taylor, Tiffani, and Caylee Davis of Augusta, Georgia and Terisha and Terrianna Porter of Camilla, Georgia.  She also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends to cherish her memories.  Her home was a safe haven and a home away from home for many in the community, and she will be truly missed.
