IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Sarah W.
Logan
April 25, 1945 – July 23, 2021
On Friday, July 23, 2021, at approximately 12:35 AM Sarah Ida Willingham Logan left her earthly address and was called to her Heavenly home.
Born April 25, 1945, Sarah was the beloved daughter of the late Sarah Willingham and Edward Willingham.
At an early age she confessed CHRIST and joined Hall Missionary Baptist Church. She provided the church announcements for many years. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her three brothers, Benjamin R. Willingham, Jack E. Willingham, and Arthur W. Willingham; a nephew she helped reared Tommy L. Willingham.
Sarah was educated in the Camilla Consolidated School System. She graduated in 1963. Sarah excelled academically and socially as a student and was selected as a Debutante. She also attended technical school where she received a certification for nursing assistant.
Her passion and love for children lead her to a career change. She gained employment with the Mitchell County School system where she worked as a paraprofessional for 29 years until her retirement in May of 2005. Also, during her tenure with the school system, she organized the Mitchell County Baby Eagles cheering squad and also served as the assistant coach for both Junior and Senior Varsity cheerleaders.
Sarah was always loving, compassionate, and giving. She was always willing and committed to helping those in need. In 1991, she decided to become a foster parent where she "mothered" many. Sarah enjoyed being around family and friends, talking on the phone with loved ones, watching Lifetime and Tyler Perry shows with her older sister, and cooking and baking. In her later years she developed a passion for writing poems for her family, and a cookbook sharing some of her delicious recipes.
Sarah leaves a legacy and loving memories to be cherished by three loving daughters: Surrellda M. Logan of Stockbridge, Georgia, Rotronda W. Mobley (Dontarius) of Jonesboro, Georgia, and Shaquitha Logan-Colson (Jermaine) of Camilla, Georgia; two loving sons, Corbey F. Logan Decatur, Georgia, and Dontavious D.
