IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Sarah Deloris
Morman
February 8, 1953 – May 15, 2024
Sarah Deloris Morman was born February 8, 1953 in Camilla, Georgia to the late Cain W. Morman, Sr. and Doris E. Morman.
Sarah was a 1971 graduate of Mitchell County High School. Early in life she accepted JESUS Christ and joined St. James Missionary Baptist Church in Baconton, Georgia. Later in life, she joined Bethel Missionary Baptist Church. Sarah was a woman that did not make idle use of her hands. She was employed at various sewing factories as a seamstress and was also employed with Keystone Foods. She birth five children, Berrylnn, Kamala, Andrew, and both Eumonica Shontel and Robbie Durrell Morman preceded her in death. The memories of those precious ones that transitioned before her, brother, Cedric Charles Morman; sister, Vivian Collier; and son-in-law, Bryan Dean Jordan.
Sarah was a Southern Belle in her own right and oh she was a delight. Sprinkling you with a warm smile, and layered it with laughter, and a good time. Dashing us with wisdom, generosity, spirit, and perseverance. In true mixing in shopping and watching her favorite western. Her biggest Southern charm was her immense love for cooking and eating soul food. Any day of the week was Sunday dinner. To her Southern Belle poise was to knead in sitting on her porch watching the people, yelling at the passerby, and "spilling the tea." On her journey of stirring, blending, and mixing sickness, loss of loved ones, and other woes she had to turn off the stove and let the pot cool down.
Sarah transitioned to her heavenly table to feast on milk and honey on May 15, 2024, at Archbold Living Center in Camilla, Georgia.
Those left to cherish her memories are two loving daughters, Berrylnn (Tony, Sr.) Saxon, Kamala Hayward-Jordan of Camilla, Georgia; one loving son, Andrew Darnell Gaines of Camilla, Georgia; three grandsons, Tony Saxon, Jr. and Teon Saxon of Camilla, Georgia, Charles Keyshawn Grissom of Valdosta, Georgia; one granddaughter, Stefanie Kamaya Grissom of Camilla, Georgia; four siblings, Marion Morman-Dewberry (Charles) of Brooklyn, New York, Clark (Odessa) Morman of Hinesville, Georgia, Cain (Mary) Morman, Jr. of Camilla, Georgia, Sebastian (Barbara) Morman of Midway, Georgia; one aunt, Vernice Morman of Baconton, Georgia; two uncles, Morris Quimby of Great Falls, Montana and Johnny Quimby of Crookston, Minnesota; special friends, Donna Hampton, Maple Davis, Lillie Threatts, Betty Anderson of Camilla, Georgia, Lavonne Spence of Albany, Georgia; and a host of other relatives and friends.
