Obituary

Seirra Elizabeth Thomas Williams was born October 3, 1955 to the late Ocie Lee Gaines Childs of Mitchell County, Georgia and the late Tommy Hall of Baker County.

She received her education in Camilla, Georgia and graduated with the Mitchell County High School of 1973.  She was a drum major, and she played the claironette.  During her senior year of high school, Seirra was one of five "Future Homecoming Queens."

Seirra confessed her belief in CHRIST at an early age and joined the St. John Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend Phillips.  She was a faithful member.  She served on the Usher Board for many years.  She was also a member of the Pastor's Aid Ministry.

For many years, she worked at Wilgree Manufacturing Company.  She later worked as a substitute teacher within the Mitchell County School System.  Basketball was her favorite sport.  She loved supporting those Mitchell-Baker Eagles.  She was the Tip-Off Club President for a number of years.  Later, Seirra worked for Equity Group (now known as Tyson's).  After leaving Tyson's, she found time to assist at the Guardian Angels Daycare.

Seirra was "the life of the party."  Her sense of humor and wittiness was loved by many.  To the family, she was known as "Fast Fannie."  Whenever you saw her, she seemed to be moving fast and in a hurry.  She loved driving fast to the beat and sound of Mary J. Blige.

Our belovedSeirra entered eternal rest on Sunday, September 17, 2023 at Archbold Medical Center.  She was preceded in death by her mother, Ocie Lee Childs, grandmother, Mary Walker, an aunt, Fannie Williams, and a sister, Tina Hall.

She leaves to cherish her loving memories a devoted daughter, Tiffany Thomas of Camilla, Georgia; a son, Roy Williams, III of Valdosta, Georgia; sisters, Mary Ross and Scarlette Hall Brown of Camilla, Georgia, Nita Hall of Albany, Georgia; brothers, Shatrach Smith of Camilla, Georgia and James Hall of Akron, Ohio; two grandsons, Anfreenee Williams and Javoris Williams of Camilla, Georgia; one granddaughter, Zoey Williams of Camilla, Georgia; two great grandchildren, Alayshia Williams and Javoris Williams, Jr.; nieces and nephews, Tanya (Harold), Tamila, Kareem, Jere' (Laceiba), Ursula, Kizmet (Dewayne), Mercedes, Chane', Chanel, Cherrell, Kyria, Donna (Kenya), Pamela (Donald), Derris, Derek, Dexter; an aunt, Ozie Thompson of Camilla, Georgia; a host of other family including more sisters, brothers, great nieces, great nephews, cousins, friends and sister friends, Vicki Hicks, Alexa Catchings and Bunice Crutcher.
