He was educated in the Mitchell County School System and graduated from Mitchell-Baker High School with the Class of 2008.

Ser'Mario departed this life on June 10, 2023. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Welton Watkins, his great grandfather, Q.T. McKinney, his brother, Eddie Dawson, Jr.
