IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Sherry Elaine
Brown
February 11, 1966 – September 8, 2022
Mrs. Sherry Elaine Brown was born on February 11, 1966 in Camilla, Georgia. She was the third child and only daughter born to Julius Drakes, Sr. and Magdalene Drakes, who both preceded her in death.
Sherry was educated in the Mitchell County School System and was a 1984 graduate of Mitchell-Baker High School. She continued her education by attending Thomas Technical College becoming a certified Pharmacy Technician where she enjoyed a career working in various positions within the pharmaceutical field throughout the years.
Sherry accepted Christ and became a member of Beulah Missionary Baptist Church under the then leadership of Rev. Sylvester Williams. She was a regular attendee of Sunday School, Sunday worship service, and later served as a Deaconess.
To know Sherry was to know that she loved and cherished her family. She was united in holy matrimony to Kenneth H. Brown, Sr. on May 14, 1993. She spent over 30 years as a devoted wife, mother to her four sons, and eventually a grandmother to her one and only grandchild. They were the most important thing in the world to her. She quietly transitioned this earthly life at her home on September 8, 2022 with her family by her side.
She leaves to cherish her memories her husband Kenneth H. Brown, Sr., sons Jeremy A. Smith, Kenterious A. Brown, Quinterious A. Brown, and Kenneth H. Brown, Jr; granddaughter Kennedi Denise Brown; siblings Julius (Lisa) Drakes, Jr, Earl (Annie) Drakes, Corey Drakes, Sonja (Hiram, Sr.) Jackson, and Gartrell (Sheena) Frazier; maternal uncles and aunts Louis Williams, J.D. (Juanita) Williams, Dollie Lee (Willie James) Thomas, Mildred (Tommy) Taylor, Emma (Bill) Marcus, and Lillie Mae (Ira) Thornton, Benjamin Brown (Elvira), Annie Ruth Toombs; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Robert L. Brown, Jr., Cynthia R. Marcus, Ann Brown Burley (Craig), and Bridget D. Brown, Russell A. Brown, Sr., and Betty Brown Williams; Donna Williams and Tony Brown (preceded her in death); Twiyla Hill and Vickie Jackson; Annie Jones Jackson (Orlando), and Tim Brown (Denise); and of host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and former co-workers who all loved her dearly.
