Stephanie Diane Thompson, affectionately known as "Bay Bay" was born December 3, 1962 in Mitchell County, Georgia to the late Charles M. Thompson and Ozie B. Thompson.

At an early age, she confessed CHRIST and united with Saint John Missionary Baptist Church.

"Bay Bay" was a 1980 graduate of Mitchell County High School.

As a mother, she was diligent in caring for the needs of her family. She had many passions in her life and was always busy pursuing them. Her greatest delight was being a mother and grandmother. Her children and grandchildren were her pride and joy. She was truly an inspiration to everyone who knew her.

God's angel peacefully departed this life on Monday, October 16, 2023, at her home. She was preceded in death by one sister, Carsandra Worthy; two brothers, Danny Thompson and Nelson Thompson, Sr.; and one brother-in-law, Dennis Worthy.

She leaves to cherish her memories, one daughter, Centrell Vicks of Albany, Georgia; one son, Tadarryl (Shenna) Thompson; three brothers, Larry (Marion) Thompson of Bluffton, South Carolina, Kelvin (Rena) Thompson of Savannah, Georgia, Calvin Thompson, Markus Thompson, Kenyetta Thompson of Camilla, Georgia; one sister-in-law, Tahisha Thompson of Chesapeake, Virginia; seven grandchildren, Ashlyn, Delandria, Jacquez, Martise, Jaylen, Zaiya, Shamyriah; special niece, Peyton; special friends, Gloria Washington, Tanisha Horne, Mary London and Diane London; special godchild, Hayden Crawford; a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
