Timmie Lee Shelton, Sr., was born to the late Eddie Shelton and Mae Bell Shelton on September 27, 1937, in Camilla, Georgia. On Sunday afternoon, October 13, 2024, Timmie departed this earthly life for eternal life.
At an early age, Timmie became a member of Habakkuk Missionary Baptist Church in Camilla, Georgia.
On January 29, 1966, Timmie married the former Emma Ruth Hill. To this union they shared three sons and three daughters.
Timmie was educated in the Mitchell County School System. Later, Timmie went on to graduate from Albany Area Vocational Technical School receiving four certificates in Automotive Repair; two certificates from Exxon Retail Training Center; one Chevrolet Certified Technician Award.
Timmie later became a successful business owner of his own gas station, automotive repair shop in Albany, Georgia. After several successful years of being a business owner, Timmie decided to branch out his talents to become one of Miller Brewer's top mechanical technicians. During Timmie's employment with Miller's, he successfully retired at an early age receiving several certificates and award recognitions.
Timmie's presence was a pleasant one; not only for his family and friends but to all who came in contact with him. Timmie was unique and one of a kind. His presence created an inviting atmosphere of warmth and love.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three sons, Henry Lee Shelton, Timmie Lee Shelton, Jr., Jerry Lee Shelton; one daughter, Victoria Shelton.
Timmie leaves to cherish his memories, his wife of 58 years, Emma Ruth Shelton; two daughters, Mary Ann Shelton, Cynthia Brown; one sister, Essie Williford of Jacksonville, Florida; his grandchildren; great grandchildren; god-daughters, Krystal, Kimberly, Miyah, and Nikki; a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
