Wade, Sr.
July 25, 1938 – April 29, 2021
Timothy L. Wade, Sr. was born July 25, 1938 to the late Riley Wade and Annette Brown. He was reared by his godmother, the late Annie B. Davis.
At an early age, Timothy confessed Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior and joined the Bethel Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Reverend Roland Jenkins, Jr. He was nurtured by his uncles Leonard Harris and Walter Harris.
As he entered into adulthood, Timothy was united in holy matrimony to the former Bertha Mae Williams on December 1, 1957. To this union ten children were born.
Timothy was a self-made man starting his own business (Tim Wade Tile Company) where he laid all types of ceramic tile across the United States. He retired in 2007.
On April 29, 2021 "daddy" heard the bell ringing as the Master called him home as he peacefully departed this life at 12:10 pm at Pelham Parkway Nursing Home. He has joined his fallen children: Charlie C. Thomas, Mary Jane Jackson, Leonard Lamar Wade, J.B. Thomas, Aaron Wade, and his sister Lucile Pearson.
Reflecting on his life, Timothy was a devoted husband to Bertha Mae (Williams) Wade for sixty-three years. He was a protector, a provider, and a very affectionate loving father to his children, the late Mary Jane (Horace) Jackson, the late J. B Thomas, the late Charlie C. Thomas, Timothy L. (Barbara) Wade, the late Leonard Wade, Sherry (Johnnie) Williams, Earnest Wade, Michael (Brenda) Wade, Stacey Wade and Aaron Wade. He has twenty grandchildren, thirty-eight great grandchildren, and eight great-great grandchildren. Also surviving include two sisters-in-law, Catherine (Bubby) Broadwater and Mary Williams. Timothy celebrated life with fellow family, friends & neighbors with parties, dinners, and great conversation especially with Mr. Bill Jack.
