Tommy Lee "Butch" Pinkins, Sr., was born to the late Edward Sam Pinkins and Lula Mae Pinkins on February 3, 1949.
He received his education at Camilla Consolidated School in Camilla, Georgia. Tommy united with the Union Missionary Baptist Church at an early age where he served on the usher board. He was employed with the Georgia Department of Transportation retiring in 2005 after thirty-four years of service.
Tommy leaves to cherish his memories a loving wife and caregiver, Esther Williams Pinkins of Camilla, Georgia; three caring daughters, Jessica Pinkins, Ashley Pinkins, and Wendolyn Wimes of Camilla, Georgia; two sons, Tommy Lee Pinkins, Jr. of Arizona and Mark Pinkins of Atlanta, Georgia; two sisters, Mary Ester Pinkins Bridges of Miami, Florida, Debra Pinkins (Jeffery) Marcus of Atlanta, Georgia; four brothers, Edward Pinkins, Leroy (Delores) Pinkins of Camilla, Georgia, Luscious Pinkins of Pelham, Georgia, Robert (Theresa) Pinkins of Atlanta, Georgia; a devoted step-daughter, Evelyn White Powell of Camilla, Georgia; four step-sons, Alton Knight of Panama City, Florida, Jim Brooks, III of Camilla, Georgia, Andrew Williams of Dothan, Alabama, Quinntavious Williams of Minnesota; one sister-in-law, Helen Williams (Jackie) McCollom of Brooksville, Florida; one brother-in-law, Willie M. Williams of Camilla, Georgia; an aunt, Lucile Butler of Camilla, Georgia; a close family friend, Vonecile Gilchrist; a close friend, Tyrone Swan of Pelham, Georgia. Tommy had sixteen grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
