IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Tracey
White
June 18, 1965 – November 5, 2020
Live services available on Facebook Saturday, November 14, 2020 at 2:00 p.m.
Tracey L. White was born in Camilla, Georgia on June 18, 1965. Tracey was the daughter of the late Juanita White Barnhill and Willie Hampton Sr.
Tracey graduated from Mitchell County High School in 1985.
Tracey was employed by the Mitchell County School System for over 30 years. She touched many hearts over the years throughout her employment, from the staff to the students. She was affectionately called "T. White" by many of the staff members. You could call Tracey and ask her anything about the school and she would know. They knew if they called on Tracey it would be done. It did not matter if it was related to school events or community events, she was there to open the building.
Tracey loved her family and was ever present in our lives. Although Tracey did not have biological children, she loved her nieces and nephews as if they were her own.
Tracey was known for her specialty dishes. Tracey could fry the best chicken. No matter what holiday came up we all looked forward to her fried chicken and grilled meats. The fried chicken was so good that even the school deemed her a cook for fried chicken every fall festival.
Tracey will be missed dearly. For all that knew her, knew that she came with the biggest smile and heart but also with the "tell you what's on my mind attitude."
On Thursday, November 5, 2020, Tracey heard her heavenly father call her name, and she answered the call when he said, "Come on home, my child, and take your rest." She was preceded in death by her parents, Juanita White Barnhill and Willie Hampton Sr.; siblings, Annie Lois White, Gail White, Annie Lois Davis, Mary White, Margaree Hampton, Willie Hampton Jr., Robert Hampton, Lawson Hampton, and David Arline.
Tracey leaves to cherish her memories her siblings, Mae Liza (William) Murray, Georgia Peggy (L.C.) Williams, Robert James Taylor, Alice Mae (James) Shelton, Gwennette White, Roscoe Hampton, Lewis Arline; and host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
