Wanda Allison West was born September 9, 1965 in Camilla, Georgia to Claretha Grissom and the late D. K. Grissom Sr.

She was a 1984 graduate of Mitchell-Baker High School in Camilla , Georgia .

She confessed CHRIST at an early age and united with the Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Camilla , Georgia .

She departed this life on Friday, June 23, 2017 , at her residence.

Wanda leaves in celebration of her life four children, Maurice West (Mo'Nycia), Chesley West, Martaviah West (Latonyia), Marrakesh West (Xavier); a mother, Claretha Grissom; seven brothers, Portiforo West (Teresa), Todd West, Garland Grissom, Kenley Grissom, D. K. Grissom, Jr. (Claretha), Joe Nathan Grissom (Yolanda) George Grissom; five sisters, Surbrenna Chester (Melvin), Freda Grissom (Andrew), Olivia Owens (Vernon), Arridean Jackson (Willie), Alice Jean Harvey (Gary); nine grandchildren, Tenilja West, Trinity West, Major West, Ke'Niyah Burley, Trakeycia Draggs, Dailene West, Zaviah Green, Zaniah Green, Zakiah Green; special niece, Tiffany Chester; special nephew, Corey Peoples; special friends, Shronika West, Donna Robinson, Essie Whitus, Wanda Silas; special cousin, Melissa Keaton; other relatives and friends.
