Obituary
He was united in holy matrimony to Ella Doris Brown on August 7, 1965.
Willie departed this earthly life and moved on to eternal rest on Friday, February 10, 2017 at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital.
Willie was a hard-working man, who loved his family inside and out.
He leaves to cherish his everlasting memories, a devoted wife of over fifty years, Ella Doris Brown Sheppard; five sons, Bryan (Marie) Sheppard, Rodney Clay Sheppard, Anthony (Shanna) Sheppard, Christopher Sheppard, and Sean (Vivian) Sheppard; one daughter, Hope Sheppard; a stepson, Victor Carroll; two grandsons, Collin Florence and Jalen Sheppard; four granddaughters, Sharay Sheppard, Arianna Sheppard, Jamya Sheppard, Janecia Moss; one brother, Golden Sheppard; three sisters, Margaret Sheppard, Myra Sheppard, and Elaine Sheppard; two great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.
His Journey's Just Begun
Don't think of him as gone away
His journey's just begun,
Life holds so many facets
This earth is only one.
Just think of him as resting
From the sorrows and the tears
In a place of warmth and comfort
Where there are no days and years.
Think how he must be wishing
That we could know today
How nothing but sadness
Can really pass away.
And think of him as living
In the hearts of those he touched...
For nothing loved is ever lost
And he was loved so much.
