Obituary

Mr. Willie B. Wimberly was born August 30, 1948, in Camilla, Georgia to the late Matthew Wimberly and Claretha Williams-Wimberly.

Willie B.'s early education was received at the schools of the Hopeful Community in Hopeful, Georgia, and Camilla Consolidated School in Camilla, Georgia graduating with the class of 1970.

At an early age, Willie B. confessed CHRIST and joined Antioch Missionary Baptist Church in Camilla, Georgia under the leadership of Reverend Preston Sparks. Faithful, dedicated, and obliging, throughout his membership of over 50 years, Willie B. served in the capacity of Usher Board President and Chairman of several Men's Day Programs.

On October 11, 1980, Willie B. was joined in holy matrimony to the former Glenda J. Harris of Camilla, Georgia. To this union two beautiful daughters were born and raised.

In 1973, Willie B. began his employment with O'San Products in Camilla, Georgia serving as a co-proprietor, and Chairman of the Board. Willie B. worked diligently and tirelessly during his time with the company, traveling throughout the state of Georgia ensuring that the company's fleet was operational, and that every customer's expectation was fulfilled. Willie B. was employed with O'San for 35 years, retiring upon the company's closing in 2010. While employed with O'San Products, Willie B. also worked at the Dairy of West Haven Farms. Willie B. was previously a member of the Masonic Order, Odom's Lodge #1 in Pelham, Georgia, and a local Motorcycle Club in Camilla, Georgia which was one of his passions, riding motorcycles along with horseback riding.

"Man" as he was affectionately called, encapsulated the hearts of all those around him, and was well known and loved by so many throughout the country for his appealing personality, demanding presence, bold wisdom, discerning spirit, straight forward advice, and cultivated skills. Willie B. loved and cherished his family more than most things, but nothing more than the Lord. Willie B. loved unconditionally and would move above and beyond for his family and those in need.  He was a shining light; Unforgettable; and there will never be another like him.

In addition to his parents, Willie B. was preceded in death by a brother, James Wimberly; one sister, Matha Lee Wimberly Hicks; one nephew, James S. Hicks; and one niece, Kimberly Collins.

On Friday, November 3, 2023 at his residence in Camilla, Georgia, Willie B. transitioned from this earthly world.

He leaves to cherish his memory, two daughters, Valorie M. Wimberly and Tiffany L. Wimberly both of Camilla, Georgia; life love, Glenda J. Harris-Wimberly of Camilla, Georgia; five grandchildren, Colin D. Wimberly (Keshona) of Camilla, Georgia, Cody B. Wimberly of Camilla, Georgia, Camille S. Corker (Wimberly) of Camilla, Georgia, and Caleb D. Wimberly of Camilla, Georgia, Taylor M. Alamilla of Camilla, Georgia; three sisters, Delois Wimberly-Martin of Albany, Georgia, Lillie Wimberly-Saxon (Ronnie), and Barbara J. Wimberly, both of Camilla, Georgia; two brothers, George W. Wimberly (Margie) of Orlando, Florida and John W. Wimberly (Joann) of Macon, Georgia; three nieces, Karen D. Hicks of Camilla, Georgia, Cayela Wimberly-White (Napoleon),and Christie Wimberly-Harper (Edward) both of Atlanta, Georgia; three nephews, Corey F. Wimberly of Camilla, Georgia, Matthew Martin of Albany, Georgia, Ronnie Saxon, Jr. of Camilla, Georgia; a host of relatives and friends.
