July 5, 1952 – June 5, 2018
Winfred Dean Hardrick was born to the late Mr. Roger Hardrick and Mrs. Jessie Pearl West Anderson Hardrick on July 5, 1952 in Lumpkin, Georgia.
At an early age he joined St. Mark AME Church in Lumpkin, Georgia and later moved his membership to Bethel AME Church in Albany, Georgia. He had a very quiet soul.
He graduated from Terrell County High School in Dawson, Georgia. He was employed at the Peanut Plant in Dawson for many years. Dean enjoyed sports, especially basketball and football. He always discussed the players and plays they made and he enjoyed reading sports magazines. He loved making crosses and giving them away.
In addition to his parents, Winfred Dean was preceded in death by his sister, Eugie A. Garnes and brother-in-law, Abdul-Malik Garnes and brother-in-law, Larry Montgomery.
Those left to cherish his memory are siblings, Naomi (Billy) Carroll, Camilla, Georgia, Sherrye Montgomery, Douglasville, Georgia; three nephews, William "Bill" Carroll, Camilla, Georgia, Antonio (Lisa) Montgomery and Arkeba Montgomery of Douglasville, Georgia; two nieces, Binai C. (Torrey) English, Dublin, Georgia, Shaneeka Montgomery, Douglasville, Georgia; cousin, Thomasine Dye-Thomas, Albany, Georgia; ten great nieces and nephews; a host of cousins and friends; a very special person, Mrs. Shirley Williams, Albany, Georgia.
